Well, I got home today with a surprise in the mail box. I opened up the DVDs, popped them into the player and DANG !!!! The footage is great. The snipping is awesome. Crystal clear, very well explained, great transitions between sets, you did one heck of a job in putting this together. I really like how you go over the safety factors in sniping with a rifle as far as knowing your terrain. Very well done. Most folks would have left that out, just not thinking about it. Using the blind and going into detail about it, fantastic. I mean all and all its a great DVD. I can't wait to share it with my buddy Jon. He truly lives to Crow Hunt.
The Africa hunt is a real treat. To finally see another side of Africa and something other than either stalking big game or waiting on something to come to a water hole was really nice. It was really cool to see a SxS being used to drop some big birds. I also like the calling.
For me, someone who has never sniped a crow it was a real treat. Now I have to decide on whether to carry both guns or leave one at home. I think both guns will be the way to go. That really means that I will have to up my production on my .223's.
Thanks again,

If I were a novice I could gain a lot of knowledge from your DVD. It would definitely lead me in the right direction . As someone who hunts ground hog I also found it to be very entertaining on many levels so I give it two thumbs up.

I received your DVDs yesterday and watched all of them yesterday as well. Thank you, they were terrific! I was, especially, entertained by Groundhog Safari and Kitty Down; I guess because I can relate to them the best as they are domestic hunts. I loved all of the groundhog action, and it made me anxious for warm weather even more than before. Kitty Down was an awesome treat! You have great firearms and you provided me an education, too.
I’ve never enjoyed an African hunt, but your jackal action was very cool.
Keep up the great work with your videos. You have talent, and your videos were very professional and entertaining irrespective of the fact they were home productions. I was impressed!

I have known David Vance for nearly 3 years now ( today Jan 2010) and he always showed a keen interest in videos. When he hunted Africa he and I put a simple but effective DVD together both on predator calling and crows, and that was in my opinion a huge success. He has a natural ability to know when and how to film to get great footage. On the crow calling DVD he did an amazing job. I have seen his videos he filmed on long range shooting ( groundhogs ) and he did a great job with those considering the simple cameras used. It compared with high $$ production videos, showing me that even that some people claim it costs over $30 K to produce movies, one can do it for far less as long as you have the knack for it, and David is one of those. Great job David.

With reference to Vance Video Production, I would like to make the following comments expressing my thoughts on some of their collection. As someone not yet fortunate enough to hunting Ground hogs or Jackals, but being a keen hunter and always open to the different aspects of precision shooting, I couldn’t wait to view the first of the Vance collection “Groundhog Safari.”
Having a substantial library of hunting/shooting videos & DVDs numbering over 50
I feel I can speak with authority the value of
GROUNDHOG SAFARI
PREDATOR HUNTING AFRICA
SHENANDOAH GROUNDHOGS.
I have all three of David’s creations and have enjoyed them all immensely. The no-nonsense straight shooting format provides exceptional entertainment, value, beautiful scenery, and quality educational information for accurate shooting. Witnessing clean shots out to 380 and 500 yards with various firearms by different hunters whilst sharing the elements required to pull of the shots with out being a product promotion exercise is an absolute pleasure and a credit to the true gentleman in these films.
For anyone contemplating the purchase of any of the Vance Video collection, have no fear, these are exceptional DVD’s for those who appreciate quality outdoor entertainment.

I would like to start off by saying, WOW! I was very surprised to find your envelope in the mailbox the other night and was grinning from ear to ear knowing it had to be a video. My wife and I watched it and I enjoyed it very much. I really do enjoy watching your hunts and have been inspired to try and record some of my own experiences for future review.

I received Groundhog Safari through the mail today. Excellent Video I must say. Your explanation of the gear you need was second to none. You told about the rifles you were using, the grain of bullet, the brand of optics you use. You seem to have covered it all and covered it well. I saw nothing "amateur" about this video. It was just as good, if not better than every other hunting video I have watched. The video quality was excellent. The sound quality, unlike other homemade videos, was easy to hear. You didn't have to strain to hear what was being talked about. The footage was excellent. You explained what was going on before and after each shot, no real gory scenes, and good, clean humor (hard to find in today's movie business.)

I received your DVD yesterday evening and immediately sat down and watched it. You have demonstrated the slow easy going lifestyle of Eastern Varmint Hunting. We are not about the high numbers or the bang flop, or heating up the barrels until a relief rifle is needed. You coined it by saying what you did near the end of the video, you called it a "relaxed manner" of hunting. Yet, it still showed the eagerness and excitement of almost being big game pleasure as your son stalked the groundhogs behind the old house place. The light heartedness was perfected, it wasn't faked or too much, it was genuine. I liked the subtitles, so to speak, explaining the rifle caliber and bullet selection (correction) and yardage.

I watched the video and must say you did a great job on it, I did not get bored with it at all and that area is some pretty country!!!!
I'm no pro but your camera technique was excellent along with your discussions..... I really liked the discussions about shooting back-ground safety, explosive varmint bullets and the equipment he used. Overall I give you an A+ on your video and I'm not just saying it, I mean it!!!!
